Parker (he/his) was raised on a family farm in Hood River, Oregon. He's currently a senior, studying Comparative History of Ideas and competing as a decathlete on the UW Track and Field team.
Cheryl Wu

Cheryl is a sophomore studying Informatics with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction along with a minor in English at the University of Washington. She hopes to mix the two fields together in order to pursue a career as a UX writer to bring an enjoyable and informative experience for others using her words.
Wil Engstrom

Wil was born and raised in Seattle and is currently living out his dream of attending the University of Washington studying Economics. He hopes to work in a research or public policy organization to help make a difference in a future career. He loves playing sports and watching movies in his free time.
Emily Oomen

Emily Joy Oomen is a journalist and poet who lives near Seattle. She has a B.A. in English with a minor in Visual and Media Arts from the UW and currently works as a Features Writer at Borgen Magazine. Her work has been featured in the Athens International Video Poetry Festival, Entropy, and many other publications. When she’s not writing, she enjoys watching improv and gushing about Mindy Kaling. Kristin Ruopp

Kristin studies Sociology and Comparative Literature, and is in her last year at UW. Originally from Connecticut, she moved to Seattle in 2015 and earned her associate’s at North Seattle College before transferring to UW. She is a fan of hiking, long road trips, horror movies, and ice cream. Kristin currently works at a history museum and lives in Capitol Hill with her orange tabby, Marceline.
Melanie Kuoch

Melanie Kuoch (she/her/hers) is a first generation Asian American, current standing, Junior pursuing a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Washington. She hopes to work towards a career in Clinical Psychology with a specialized focus on adolescent mental health. In her free time she enjoys staying active; hiking, working out, as well as, spending time with friends & family.
Mimi Hoang

Mimi Hoang (she/her) is a current standing junior working to earn her B.A in English at the University of Washington. She also hopes to work up to get a Masters in Library Science to work at her local library one day. Outside of school, she is an artist, a writer, a hobbyist and a world-builder who works on character design for fun. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, playing Dungeons and Dragons, watching anime, cooking, baking, sleeping, and most of all, drawing.
Gene Wang

Gene is a freshman at the University of Washington pursuing a degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering with a minor in English. He hopes to eventually work in either game design or UX research. In the meantime, Gene spends his free time playing games, making his own, being a Mariners fan, watching movies, cooking, and playing his saxophone.
Evelyn Niu

Evelyn is an international student from China and this is her last quarter at UW. She studies Cinema and Media and Psychology with a focus on primate behaviors. Her favorite film is “The Graduate” and her favorite show is “Black Books”.
Reagan Welsh

Reagan is originally from Ohio and is currently a sophomore at the University of Washington pursuing a degree in English: Creative Writing and Cinema and Media Studies. She is also an officer of the film production club on campus and enjoys filmmaking, screenwriting, poetry, and coming of age novels and films.
